2010 | User Interaction Design + Art Direction
Here's a brief study about User Interfaces and Art direction of Digital Magazines for tablets like the Apple iPad.
Personal Project
I started my study from the Popular Science Magazine + Application for iPad, developed by BERG London for Bonnier Corporation and based on their earlier study MAG+.
User Interaction is simple:
The Interaction is based on two main Gestures:
- Swipe horizontally to change article
- Swipe vertically to read article
The Content is arranged on two Layers:
- Images on the Backgound
- Text on the Front layer
Tap the left side of the screen at any moment to see the Images, Tap right to read again. Basically it's the command to enable or disable the Text layer.
Here it comes my design for which I made up an article about the great Architectural Photographer Julius Shulman (RIP).
